Complete Guide to Split Rock Lighthouse in Duluth

Lighthouse Tower
Climb the spiral staircase to see the original Fresnel lens and take in panoramic views of Lake Superior - the perspective from up there really gives you a sense of why ships needed this beacon
History Center
Interactive exhibits covering Great Lakes shipping, the 1905 storms that prompted the lighthouse's construction, and daily life for lighthouse families - surprisingly engaging for all ages
Keeper's House
Fully restored 1910 residence showing how lighthouse families actually lived, complete with period furnishings and that slightly austere feel of early 20th century domestic life
